This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour we expect from everyone who works for us or on our behalf. It reflects our values and guides our decisions, ensuring we maintain the trust of our clients, residents, colleagues, and communities. This Code applies to all employees, directors, officers, agency workers, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and anyone representing All Services 4U.

Code of Conduct

Our Values

Our Code of Conduct is built on five core values that guide everything we do:

Safety First

The safety of our people, our clients, and the public is our highest priority. We never compromise on safety.

Integrity

We are honest, ethical, and transparent in all our dealings. We do what is right, even when no one is watching.

Excellence

We strive for quality in everything we do. We take pride in our work and continuously seek to improve.

Respect

We treat everyone with dignity and respect. We value diversity and create an inclusive environment.

Accountability

We take responsibility for our actions and their consequences. We deliver on our commitments.

Professional Conduct

Representing All Services 4U

When working for All Services 4U, you are our representative. Your conduct reflects on the entire organisation.

You should:

  • Present a professional appearance and demeanour
  • Wear company uniform and ID badge when required
  • Be punctual and reliable
  • Communicate clearly and courteously
  • Maintain a positive and helpful attitude
  • Take pride in your work

You should not:

  • Behave in a way that damages our reputation
  • Make commitments you cannot keep
  • Speak negatively about the company, colleagues, or clients
  • Engage in conduct that could bring the company into disrepute

Conduct on Client Sites

When working on client sites, you represent both All Services 4U and our client’s standards.

You must:

  • Follow site rules and procedures
  • Sign in and out as required
  • Display your ID badge at all times
  • Respect residents’ homes and privacy
  • Minimise disruption and noise
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy
  • Protect client property from damage
  • Report any incidents or damage immediately
  • Lock up and secure as required when leaving

You must not:

  • Enter areas you are not authorised to access
  • Use client facilities without permission
  • Remove anything from client premises
  • Take photographs without authorisation
  • Discuss client business with third parties

Conduct in Residents’ Homes

Working in people’s homes requires the highest standards of conduct.

You must:

  • Knock or ring the bell and wait for a response
  • Introduce yourself and show your ID
  • Explain what work you will be doing
  • Ask permission before entering rooms
  • Use dust sheets and protective coverings
  • Remove outdoor footwear or use shoe covers
  • Treat possessions with care and respect
  • Leave the property as you found it
  • Report any safeguarding concerns

You must not:

  • Enter without permission or proper authorisation
  • Use residents’ facilities without permission
  • Accept gifts or tips from residents
  • Engage in inappropriate conversations
  • Use your phone for personal calls in residents’ homes
  • Take photographs of residents or their property
  • Return to a property off-duty without authorisation

Health and Safety

Your Safety Responsibilities

Everyone has a responsibility for health and safety.

You must:

  • Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
  • Use equipment and PPE correctly
  • Report hazards, incidents, and near misses
  • Attend required health and safety training
  • Maintain your competency cards and certifications
  • Stop work if you believe it is unsafe
  • Look out for the safety of colleagues and others

You must not:

  • Take shortcuts that compromise safety
  • Remove or bypass safety guards or devices
  • Work under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Use equipment you are not trained to use
  • Ignore safety instructions or warning signs
  • Pressure others to work unsafely

Fitness for Work

You must be fit to work safely.

You must:

  • Report any medical conditions that may affect your ability to work safely
  • Inform your manager if medication may impair your performance
  • Take appropriate rest between shifts
  • Not work if you are unfit due to illness, fatigue, or impairment

Drugs and Alcohol

We have a zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol at work.

You must not:

  • Attend work under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Consume alcohol during working hours (including breaks)
  • Possess, use, or supply illegal drugs
  • Misuse prescription or over-the-counter medications

If you have a dependency issue, we encourage you to seek help. Support is available through our Employee Assistance Programme.

Honesty and Integrity

Truthfulness

We expect honesty in all aspects of work.

You must:

  • Provide accurate information in all records and reports
  • Record your time and expenses honestly
  • Report your qualifications and experience truthfully
  • Admit mistakes rather than cover them up
  • Correct errors as soon as you become aware of them

You must not:

  • Falsify records, timesheets, or expense claims
  • Misrepresent your qualifications or competencies
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Forge signatures or documents
  • Backdate or alter records

Fraud and Theft

Fraud and theft are serious offences that will result in dismissal and may be reported to the police.

You must not:

  • Steal money, materials, equipment, or property
  • Submit false expense claims or invoices
  • Misuse company funds or resources
  • Accept kickbacks or secret commissions
  • Engage in any form of fraud

Bribery and Corruption

We have zero tolerance for bribery and corruption.

You must:

  • Comply with our Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy
  • Decline any bribe or improper inducement
  • Report any attempts to bribe you
  • Follow the rules on gifts and hospitality

You must not:

  • Offer or accept bribes in any form
  • Make or accept facilitation payments
  • Offer excessive gifts or hospitality to influence decisions
  • Accept gifts or hospitality that could compromise your judgement

Conflicts of Interest

You must avoid situations where your personal interests conflict with those of the company.

You must:

  • Disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest
  • Declare any personal relationships with clients, suppliers, or competitors
  • Seek approval before taking on outside employment
  • Declare any financial interests in suppliers or competitors

Examples of conflicts:

  • Having a financial interest in a supplier or competitor
  • Employing or supervising a family member
  • Awarding work to a company you or a family member owns
  • Taking on outside work that conflicts with your duties
  • Using company information for personal benefit

Respect and Inclusion

Treating Others with Respect

We are committed to a workplace where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

You must:

  • Treat colleagues, clients, residents, and others with courtesy
  • Value diversity and different perspectives
  • Listen to others and consider their views
  • Give constructive feedback respectfully
  • Support colleagues and work as a team

You must not:

  • Bully, harass, or intimidate anyone
  • Use abusive, offensive, or threatening language
  • Make jokes or comments that demean others
  • Exclude or isolate colleagues
  • Undermine or belittle others

Equality and Non-Discrimination

We do not tolerate discrimination in any form.

You must not:

Discriminate against anyone based on:

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Gender reassignment
  • Marriage or civil partnership
  • Pregnancy or maternity
  • Race, ethnicity, or nationality
  • Religion or belief
  • Sex
  • Sexual orientation

This applies to colleagues, clients, residents, suppliers, and anyone you encounter through work.

Harassment

Harassment is unwanted conduct that violates dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating, or offensive environment.

Examples include:

  • Unwanted physical contact
  • Offensive jokes or comments
  • Displaying offensive material
  • Bullying or intimidation
  • Sexual harassment
  • Victimisation

If you experience or witness harassment, report it to your manager, HR, or through our Whistleblowing Policy.

Inclusive Workplace

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.

You should:

  • Respect different working styles and preferences
  • Be mindful of cultural and religious differences
  • Use inclusive language
  • Challenge inappropriate behaviour
  • Support colleagues who may need adjustments

Confidentiality and Data Protection

Protecting Confidential Information

You will have access to confidential information about the company, our clients, and residents.

You must:

  • Keep confidential information secure
  • Only access information you need for your work
  • Not disclose confidential information to unauthorised persons
  • Follow data protection policies and procedures
  • Return all confidential information when you leave

Confidential information includes:

  • Client information and contracts
  • Resident personal data
  • Financial information
  • Business plans and strategies
  • Pricing and cost information
  • Employee personal information
  • Trade secrets and know-how

Data Protection

We comply with data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

You must:

  • Only collect and use personal data for legitimate purposes
  • Keep personal data accurate and up to date
  • Store personal data securely
  • Not share personal data without authorisation
  • Report any data breaches immediately

Social Media

Social media use can affect the company’s reputation.

You must:

  • Follow our Social Media Policy
  • Not post confidential or proprietary information
  • Not make statements that could damage our reputation
  • Be respectful when discussing work-related matters
  • Make clear that personal views are your own

You must not:

  • Post photos of client sites or residents without permission
  • Make negative comments about the company, clients, or colleagues
  • Share client or resident information on social media
  • Engage in online arguments that reflect on the company

Company Resources

Use of Company Property

Company property and resources must be used responsibly.

You must:

  • Use company property for business purposes
  • Take care of equipment and vehicles
  • Report damage or defects promptly
  • Return company property when requested or when you leave
  • Follow IT security policies

You must not:

  • Use company resources for personal gain
  • Take company property for personal use
  • Damage or misuse equipment
  • Allow unauthorised persons to use company resources

Vehicles

If you drive a company vehicle or your own vehicle for work:

You must:

  • Hold a valid driving licence for the vehicle type
  • Report any driving convictions or licence changes
  • Keep the vehicle clean, maintained, and roadworthy
  • Complete pre-use checks
  • Drive safely and legally
  • Not use a handheld mobile phone while driving
  • Report accidents and damage immediately

You must not:

  • Drive while unfit (fatigue, illness, alcohol, drugs)
  • Allow unauthorised persons to drive company vehicles
  • Use vehicles for unauthorised purposes
  • Exceed speed limits or drive recklessly

IT and Communications

Company IT systems and communications are for business use.

You must:

  • Follow IT security policies
  • Use strong passwords and keep them confidential
  • Not share login credentials
  • Report security incidents or suspicious activity
  • Use email and internet responsibly

You must not:

  • Access inappropriate or illegal content
  • Download unauthorised software
  • Use systems for personal business or gain
  • Send offensive or inappropriate communications
  • Attempt to bypass security controls

Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to protecting the environment.

You must:

  • Follow our Environmental Policy
  • Minimise waste and recycle where possible
  • Dispose of waste correctly and legally
  • Use energy and water efficiently
  • Report environmental incidents or concerns
  • Complete Waste Transfer Notes correctly

You must not:

  • Dispose of waste illegally
  • Pour chemicals or waste down drains
  • Cause pollution or environmental damage
  • Ignore environmental procedures

Reporting Concerns

Speak Up

We encourage everyone to report concerns about breaches of this Code or other wrongdoing.

You can report concerns to:

  • Your line manager
  • Senior management
  • Human Resources
  • The Compliance Manager
  • Our confidential Whistleblowing Hotline

No Retaliation

We will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith. Anyone who retaliates will face disciplinary action.

Whistleblowing

Our Whistleblowing Policy provides protection for those who report serious concerns about wrongdoing. See that policy for details of how to raise concerns and the protections available.

Working with Others

Clients

We build long-term relationships with our clients based on trust and quality.

You must:

  • Understand and meet client requirements
  • Communicate professionally and promptly
  • Deliver on commitments
  • Report issues honestly and promptly
  • Seek feedback and act on it

Suppliers and Subcontractors

We expect our suppliers and subcontractors to meet equivalent standards.

You must:

  • Treat suppliers fairly and with respect
  • Follow procurement policies
  • Not accept inappropriate gifts or hospitality
  • Report any concerns about supplier conduct

Competitors

We compete fairly and ethically.

You must not:

  • Engage in anti-competitive behaviour
  • Make false or misleading statements about competitors
  • Improperly obtain competitor information
  • Collude with competitors on pricing or contracts

Regulators and Authorities

We cooperate with regulators and authorities.

You must:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Cooperate with regulatory inspections
  • Provide accurate information to authorities
  • Report concerns through appropriate channels

Consequences of Breach

Taking Breaches Seriously

Breaches of this Code are taken seriously. The consequences depend on the nature and severity of the breach.

Possible Consequences

Depending on the circumstances, breaches may result in:

  • Informal counselling or advice
  • Formal warning
  • Final written warning
  • Demotion
  • Transfer
  • Dismissal
  • Summary dismissal for gross misconduct
  • Reporting to authorities or professional bodies
  • Legal action

Gross Misconduct

The following are examples of gross misconduct that may result in summary dismissal:

  • Theft, fraud, or dishonesty
  • Bribery or corruption
  • Violence or threats of violence
  • Serious harassment or discrimination
  • Serious health and safety breaches
  • Serious breach of confidentiality
  • Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at work
  • Gross negligence causing serious harm
  • Bringing the company into serious disrepute

All employees are required to:

  • Complete any required training
  • Ask questions if anything is unclear
  • Comply with the Code in all aspects of work
  • Report any breaches or concerns

Annual Confirmation

You may be asked to confirm annually that you have read, understood, and are complying with this Code.

Changes to the Code

This Code may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated to you. The current version is always available on our intranet and from HR.

Real situations are not always clear-cut. If you are unsure whether something is appropriate:

  • Would I be comfortable if it appeared in the news?
  • Would I be comfortable explaining it to my manager or family?

If the answer to any of these is “no” or “I’m not sure”, seek advice before proceeding.
