Access control

Monitor. Protect. Secure.

Electronic access control systems increase security in domestic and business premises by providing entry to houses and premises solely to accredited residents and staff thus ensuring unauthorised people are unable to enter.

All Services 4U provide access control systems design, installation and maintenance for domestic and commercial purposes including private houses, apartment blocks, hotels, care homes and a raft of other facilities. We also provide control system repairs and upgrades to existing systems.

Our ranges include simple electronic keypads for one door to large integrated systems for multiple buildings and all our of them come with options for biometrics, facial recognition and smart locks facilities. We can help restrict the flow of employees or visitors to areas that may be sensitive or vulnerable.

Access control has a wide variety of applications to operate gates, barriers and doors. From stand alone units and video entry systems to on line computer-controlled installations, integrating magnetic card and proximity readers.

Advantages of access control systems:
  • Convenience; no keys and locks to replace.

Need to know

Stand-alone Systems
The simplest way to secure and control access through doors around your building and ideal for enhancing security, protecting your staff and assets as well as saving money.

To get going with a standalone you only need a power supply and locking device. The control circuitry and ‘door open’ relays (one or more depending on the model) are housed within the access control module. The user provides either an access code, proximity key fob or fingerprint, and if the data presented is correct, the relevant relay will be enabled and access granted.

Networked Systems
Networked access control systems are ideal in situations involving large sites, multiple buildings and areas with a large amount of traffic. Sophisticated and user-friendly, they expedite fast control access all doors on site.
Referred to as ‘PC based’ or ‘Networked’ access control, these systems may be used to control one or many doors in a building. Access is gained by using a numeric code, or PIN with a keypad, by presenting a proximity or magstripe token or with hands-free tokens depending on which type of reader is fitted. PC based access control offers central control, via a network.

This means that commands given at the PC are sent to each of the doors. A token can be barred from all of the doors instantly. You can also activate different permissions for individuals or groups of users along with reports on where personnel have been in the building. PC based systems are increasingly being used to control other services within buildings including intruder alarms, fire doors, lifts and lighting.

The system can be extended very easily, and advanced features such as event reporting and integration with CCTV and other systems make such a system much more than just a replacement for a bunch of keys.
